About Hilton Head Marine Construction

A marine contractor working the creeks, sounds, lagoons, and locked harbours of the Hilton Head and Bluffton area.

How we work

Dock work in the Hilton Head and Bluffton area is decided by conditions that do not exist inland. Pluff mud depth decides whether a piling is jetted or driven. Marine borers decide how much of a piling is still carrying load. The daily tidal cycle decides how long a fastener lasts. Getting those three right is most of the job.

Permitting is the other half. Whether work is classified as in-kind repair or as replacement changes the schedule more than anything that happens on the water, and that determination is made before a crew is scheduled, not after.
